Valley Forge Family Picnic Saturday September 11 – 12:00-4:00, All Youth are
encouraged and needed to help with this community event. Please call Steve
and Laura 646-4503 for ways to help.
Rally Sunday and All Church Picnic Sunday September 12- All youth and
parents are welcome to stop at our Youth Group table to sign up for the
following year. We will not meet on the evening of the 12, Come enjoy the
Picnic!
Youth Group Resumes Sunday September 19, 6:00-7:30! Calling all Gethsemane
youth 6th through 12th grade, YOU AND A FRIEND All INVITED to our fall
kick-off event! We will begin with a pot-luck dinner, hamburgers, hotdogs,
and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass. We will share with
our new families what Youth Group is all about, play a few games, and get to
know each other. Come bring your ideas for fun events to share with the
group. Parents are encouraged to join us for dinner and stay for the meeting
and games afterwards.
Mission Trip 2011! Sunday, September 26, immediately following 2nd service.
It’s time to start planning for next mission trip! Get excited for your
opportunity to experience workcamp next summer! Workcamp is open to everyone
who will be entering 9th grade in the Fall of 2010 up to 20 years of age. We
will be discussing our new trip location and date at the meeting. Unsure
about going on a mission trip? Then join us for this informational meeting.
Recent High School Graduate Care Packages! Sunday, September 26th, we will
be putting together care packages for our recent Gethsemane High School
graduates. Parents, we need addresses for your children who have moved out.
During the month of September, we will be collecting items such as snacks,
school supplies, quarters for laundry, and notes of encouragement to be sent
along in the care packages!
Fall Outing, Sunday October 10. Enjoy the beautiful fall colors as we go on
a fall outing immediately after 2nd service. We will have a picnic lunch
followed by a seasonal activity (hiking/ hayrack ride/ pumpkin farm / ?). We
will be returning to Gethsemane around 3:00 p.m. Permission slips will be
available at the Pot-Luck and at youth group.
Senior High Convo November 12 – 14, Calling Sr. High students and friends…
Come with us to the Wisconsin Dells and the Chula Vista Resort for an
awesome weekend. Come together with youth from all across Wisconsin for
spiritual growth and fellowship. Praise and worship will be lead by the
Sidewalk Prophets and the main speaker is Greg Speck. Early bird
registration of $120.00 is due by October 18th to avoid a $10 late fee! More
information coming soon!
