your donations in the chest located in the entryway.

REGISTRATION
Sunday School Registration will be starting August 17th
after church. Call Linda Evanoff.
CHANCEL CHOIR REHEARSAL
Choir rehearsals will be starting up again! The first
rehearsal is Wednesday, August 20th from 7-8:30pm. Choir will begin
singing on Sunday, September 7th.
POM PONS FOR GIRLS AGES
4-9
Are you looking for a fun activity for girls ages 4-9? How
about Pom Pons? Would you like to learn the moves from Nicole
Steffen, an experienced Pom Coach? We are offering lessons at GUMC
on Saturday mornings from 8:45am to 9:30am, September 13 through
October 25. Cost is $38 and any donations to the Pewaukee Food
Pantry are gladly accepted. The cost includes one set of Poms and a
T-shirt.

LADIES COMMUNITY BIBLE
STUDY
Gethsemane UMC will host a fall ladies Bible Study for
members and the community. The ten week study will use Breaking
Free by Beth Moore. It is a scripture based study applicable
for both novice and advanced students of the Bible.
All ladies are invited to an introductory evening class at 6:30-8:30pm on Monday September 15. Weekly classes will be offered every Monday, 9:30-11:30am and 6:20-8:30pm from September 22 through November 24.
Please order your study book
before August 20th with a $20.00 check payable to GUMC with a
notation that it is for the ladies Bible Study.
PENNY BANK—THE UNITED
METHODIST GLOBAL AIDS FUND
Please continue to drop your coins in the Mission Committee
penny bank in the entryway whenever you come to church. The General
Board of Global Missions has a goal to raise $8 million to support
education, prevention, care and treatment programs for people living
with HIV/AIDS all over the world. As of early June, Gethsemane has
donated $307.24 to this effort. Thank you for your continuing
support of this project.
ALTAR FLOWERS
The new 2008 flower chart is located in the hallway next to the
choir room. Spaces are available throughout the year when flowers
may be shared in honor of or in memory of a loved one or for any
special occasion.
DIALING FOR DOLLARS
Upgrading your cell phone? The Mission Committee is
collecting your old cell phones to donate on behalf of The Women's
Center of Waukesha. The Women's Center works with an organization
called Shelter Alliance which pays The Women's Center shelter $1 to
$10 for every phone and accessories received. The Women's Center
also keeps a small amount of phones that are reprogrammed as 911
emergency phones for clients. Drop off your used cell phones to our
*recycling* bin located in the church lobby. Please remember to
clear all personal information from phones before donating. Any
